Vintage Chelsea Shelf Desk Clock
Up for bids is this ' vintage chelsea shelf or desk clock '. Marked on the silvered dial 'chelsea' and teh retailer ' the frank herschede co. Cincinnati'. Measures 4 high with a 2 3/4 dial. Bronze or brass case and base. Surprisingly heavy for a small clock. Wind-up movementpull and turn knob to ste time. I just acquired the clock a few days ago and can't say how long it rusn on a wind-up. Has kept correct time during the the time i've had it. There is a fast/slow lever in the back for fine-tuning. Condition is excellent plus plus.
Glass looks original. Shows age and some use, but no dents, scratches or condition issues to detract. Nice chelsea for shelf ro desk.
