Antique Mantel Clock Halloween Clock Needs WorkThis is an old clock that was my parents. I'm not sure how old it is and i cannot see anywhere on it who made it. It does not want to keep ticking, and stops after about 10 seconds. The chimes work with one bong at the half hour and eigth bongs for say eight oclock. I do not know for sure, but it looks like the face and numbers have bene touched up with paint some (see picture). It's a very unusual clock and is in truth a bit spooky in the way it looks and would make a good decoration on halloween as it has some decoration carved into the wood body and brass handle like things on the sides. Even the pendulum has a weird design on it (see picture). There are some scratches on it btu nothing very bad. Needs to be worked on to see why it won't keep ticking, but otherwise seems ok. Item will be packed well and insurance is available and recommended. Thansk for looking! On sep-25-08 at 114658 pdt, seller added the following informationi do have a old key to wind the clock. I do'nt know if it's the one that came with it, but it fits and it works for winding it. |
